Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park (GNP) has to be one of the most underrated national parks. The beauty is extraordinary, and still I had never heard anyone talking about. I mean, everyone has heard of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Teton, Badlands, Great Smoky Mountains, and so on. Why is it that Glacier is hardly mentioned? My best guess is that everyone wants to keep this gem a secret all to themselves. I can’t really blame them for that.

It wasn’t until the husband and I decided that we wanted to go on a road trip for our late honeymoon that I began seeing articles slip in a blurb or two here and there about the park. It was the pictures attached to those blurbs that drew me in.

If you know nothing about Glacier National Park, chances are you’ve heard of Lake McDonald or at the very least seen some gorgeous pictures of the lake and its famous multicolored pebble beaches (pictured right).

After seeing some gorgeous shots of the stones and the water melded together with snow-capped mountains in the background, I knew that Glacier was where I wanted to spend my honeymoon.

Yeah, you read that right – I’m willing to travel 3,600 round-trip miles to see a lake and I will never regret my decision.

I love every bit of Glacier. The wildlife, the mountains, the peaks, the valleys, the lakes, the flowers, the winding mountain side roads, the rangers, the campgrounds. This list could go on forever. I love it so much! ❤

Enough of me. Here is a sample of the thousands of photos I took while on vacation:
